Set your goals for the New Year
December 12th, 2008 by Sylv
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
It’s time to look ahead to the resolutions you want to make for the New Year. Most generally they are well intentioned and last about two weeks.
So, let’s get started on those resolutions. Go get a PENCIL AND A PIECE OF PAPER. We need to work on your goals. Carry them around. Read them.
First of all, make sure this is what you really want. Is it in line with your values - who you really are? What will it do to your life?
- Do any of your goals contradict each other? Look at the areas of your life.
Faith
Family
Friends
Health and fitness
Finances
Giving and volunteering - Balance your goals to support each area.
Now write your goals in the positive with a pencil on paper. Write them out in complete detail. You can see and feel them. Read your goals every night.
Redo your goals monthly. See the progress. Reset your course where needed.
The difference between goals and dreams. Goals are written down.
